Wendy Hammer

Alaska born and raised, I moved to Nevada when I was 29 years old.  I am a mother of a 26 year old son who is in his second year of his PhD in Criminal Justice.  By day I work as a senior account/office manager for workers' compensation and also own an online training/nutrition coaching business. My story began about 16 years ago.  To get my Mom more active I talked her into joining a gym thinking we could at least walk on the treadmill.  We signed up and they gave us three free sessions with a person trainer.  After that I was hooked.
About 14 years later, and at 42 years old I decided to compete in my first competition.  My competitions and placements to date:
  1. Muscle Contests NPC Legends February 2017: Bikini 1st Place Masters 35+, 1st Place Masters 40+ & 2nd place Novice.
  2. INBA/PNBA Yuma September 2017: 1st Place Figure Masters. 1st Place Figure Open and 2nd Place Figure Open plus my Pro Card.
  3. INBA/PNBA Pro/Am Team USA September 2018: 1st Place Figure Masters 40-49, Overall Master, 1st Place Figure Open Short, Overall Figure plus two Pro Cards.
  4. INBA/PNBA Natural Olympia November 2018: Placing gold in Amateur Figure Masters 40-49, Bronze in Amateur Figure Open and for my Pro debut placing Silver.
I compete as a natural competitor and pride myself on having done so from day one.  I have two competitions planned for 2019.  One in September and I will be competing at the Natural Olympia again in November.
